FAQ
Questions about transit trade, documents and shipping.
This page answers the key questions about transit trade in healthcare products, documents, payment and shipment. If you do not find your answer, write to info@sunveramedikal.com.

01What exactly is transit trade?
It means buying goods from a supplier abroad and selling them to a buyer in a third country without importing them into Türkiye. The goods travel directly from the manufacturer's country to the buyer's country; the contract, documents and payment are managed from Istanbul.
02Do the goods never come to Türkiye?
In most transactions they do not. Where the route requires it, a bonded warehouse or free zone can serve as an intermediate stop; even then, the product is not imported into Türkiye and is not placed on the Turkish market.
03Do you obtain the marketing authorisation or registration in our country?
No. Marketing authorisation, registration and import permits in the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer or the local authorised representative. We help obtain the manufacturer documents these applications require, such as the declaration of conformity, Certificate of Free Sale and CPP.
04Which payment methods do you work with?
We work with letters of credit, documentary collection and advance or partial advance payment. The choice depends on the size of the transaction, the product's production lead time and how well the parties know each other.
05Can we see the product documents before shipment?
Yes. We share documents such as the declaration of conformity, quality management system certificate, certificate of analysis and label samples before order confirmation or loading. Any additional documents the destination country requires are discussed at this stage.
06How do you ship products that require a cold chain?
Passive or active cooling packaging, a data logger and a suitable route are chosen according to the storage conditions on the product label. Transfer points and the collection time at destination are planned before loading.
07Can you send samples?
This depends on the manufacturer's policy. Just tell us the product, the quantity and what the sample is for (registration application, evaluation, tender). The cost of the sample and courier charges are discussed separately for each request.
08Is there a minimum order quantity?
The minimum quantity is usually set by the manufacturer and varies by product. When we receive your request, we look together at the manufacturer's requirement and a shipment size that makes sense logistically.
09How long does it take to prepare a quote?
It depends on how clear the request is. If the model or catalogue number, quantity and destination country are known, the process moves quickly. Requests based on a specification that require comparing several manufacturers take longer.
10In which language can we correspond?
Our website is available in seven languages. We agree on the language of correspondence at first contact. International contracts and shipping documents are usually issued in English; if the destination country requires another language, translation is planned separately.
11Which delivery terms do you work with?
We work with Incoterms 2020 rules, mainly EXW, FCA, FOB, CIF, CIP and DAP. CIP or DAP is often preferred for temperature-sensitive and high-value products, and FOB or CIF for bulky sea cargo.
12Can you advise on the medical use of products?
No. Our products are intended for healthcare institutions, distributors and other professional buyers; we do not give medical advice. Information on the use of a product is provided in the manufacturer's instructions for use and on its label.
Do you have a requirements list?
Share the product, model or specification, quantity, destination country and required documents. We will work out the sourcing options and shipment plan with you.
